Mark Bego's party

It was Mark Bego's party for his birthday & book signing. Someone said that if he ever got married, he'd make it a combination wedding/book signing! May was there with some of the friends I met at her Labor Day party: Mary Beth & (Blackpool) Jim, and others who's names I didn't catch. I met loads of people, like Isaiah who Mark dedicated his last book to, and who works for Montel. There was a woman in a grand hat with a 12" feather sticking straight up, named Sharon (the woman was named Sharon, not the feather!) I think she was Mark's mother, but it was too loud to be sure that's what she said. Also met Randy, the cowboy from the Village People.

I looked very fetching (in a plump middle aged sort of way) in the outfit Misty picked out for me. She's such a love. I've got to post pix of her when my flicker account updates (still pending. grr). She used to be 200 lbs, now she's like a size 0.

Hank was at the party for a while, but had to pop over to Baruch to lecture Beth Krakower's class. I swung by after the party to p/u, chat with Beth, etc. She has a cast on, as she's been suffering with tendonitis for over a year.
